WHAT TO EXPECT
Texas Dentistry and Braces offers three convenient locations where adults and children can receive high-quality dental care. Our experienced dental team is mobile and works between our Mesquite, Kaufman, and Terrell dental offices.
We know that first impressions count. So when you visit a Texas Dentistry and Braces dental office, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our friendly team members. If you are a new patient, we will have you complete some initial forms to gather important information about your dental history and any oral health issues.
During your first appointment, we will do a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth, gums, and overall oral health. This includes taking intraoral images and performing an oral cancer screening. Typically, we perform a complete prophylaxis (professional teeth cleaning) at your initial appointment as well. However, if you need a deep cleaning, we will reschedule prophylaxis for a separate appointment.
Preparing Your Child
TIPS FOR A SMOOTH VISIT
We see patients as young as 6 months old. Early dental visits are important for monitoring tooth and jaw development. They also help familiarize your child with our dental office, let them get to know our team, and show them that there is nothing to fear. Our team has extensive experience working with children of all ages. We will make your child feel comfortable during their visit while providing education and resources about oral hygiene.
Parents play a crucial role in preparing their children for dental visits. Here are some tips to help ensure your child’s dental visit is a positive one:
- Use positive language.
- Read books about going to the dentist.
- Role-play.
- Watch videos that explain dental visits.
- Practice brushing their teeth.
- Use positive reinforcement and praise your child for being brave and cooperative.

Texas Dentistry and Braces offers an in-house membership plan to help patients save on dental treatment costs. The membership plan is a flat-rate annual fee that covers basic preventive care. No more worrying about claims, deductibles, or annual maximums.
You can use your membership plan at any Texas Dentistry and Braces location (Mesquite, Kaufman, or Terrell). There are three plans available: Adults, Kids, and Perio.
